O-o-okay, so I've been all busy last week, but now I'm officially on the road of becoming psychology magister. I just hope the Chapter Break didn't end, and I manage to made it in time)

Yay! It’s finished! I probably should have used a scanner but I couldn’t wait to show everyone! 

Here’s Saku, Aino, and their adorable daughter Ensi!

 Form what I saw of Aino and Saku in the prologue I can’t help but think that they must have been awesome parents.  Who knows maybe Saku stopped “dying of something” and got in touch with his inner Simo Hayha. That would be a cool story!

If you look to the right  corner you’ll see a wading bird ( that may or may not be someone’s luonto).

 Also you’ll notice that Ensi is wearing a sweater that is way too big for her.  I’m not sure what they would have done about clothing for Ensi during the early years. Making clothes from scratch is super difficult.

Anyway I hope everyone enjoys this pic. I’ll definitely scan and color this pice later. Who’s up next?

There’s no way I could have copied Minna’s style and made it look good. Only Minna can draw like Minna. ✍️

I had to do a lot of practice drawings to get everyone’s faces just right. I’m really happy with how this turned out.

Thanks. I’ll post a proper scanned version on later today. I’ve been thinking about Ensi and her family a lot since chapter 5. A picture like this just fit with the theme. I want to see what other people submit next. No idea when I’ll be able to color this. I haven’t done much digital painting at all. It’ll probably get posted long after the new chapter starts.

I really liked your story wavewright62. I always saw Mikkel as the sort of person who would be board with farm life. In my head cannon he’s held so many jobs as a way to avoid returning to the family farm.

I also liked the was you ended the story.
 

“Sorry, I forgot, yes, a letter did come in, Ole brought it right over.  It’s from Norway.  Was…that the one you were waiting for?” 

“We’ll see,” Mikkel said as he strode away toward the Madsen farmhouse.
The flies landed on The Thinker again as they walked away.

The ending leaves it ambiguous as to weather this takes place before the expedition to the Danish mainland or weather this takes place after the current adventure has come to an end. If this is before the expedition leaves, than this letter would be from Trond and he’s writing to recruit Mikkel. If this is set after everyone gets back from Finland than this could be a letter from Sigrun, possibly asking him to visit her in Norway and meet her parents. (FYI I totally ship Sigs and Mikkel)

Sorry I haven’t said much about the other submissions here up till now. I was kind of focused on my own thing.   But I’ve really enjoyed all of them. I can’t wait to see what gets posted next.
