Yes, the words must flow
But what if instead
They wanted to fly freely?

Their spirits fly now
Whether from impact trauma
Or hypoxia

A bad way to die?
This haiku chain has somewhat
Become dark, I think.

Spoiler: show

A bad way to die:
Using the most painful plant
To clean yourself up.

(Apparently, it's the Gimpy-Gimpy from Australia that holds this distinction. I've read somewhere that a guy who used it as a replacement to toilet paper ended shooting himself.)

Become dark, I think.
Let us lighten it up now

To clean yourself up
Stinging Tree’s an unwise choice!
Mullein leaves work best.

(I have more sense than to apply gimpy-gimpy leaves to any delicate portion of my anatomy, but I did once run face-first into one of the leaves on a very dark night. It hurt for months, everytime the skin got wet. No fun!

Australia has some of the meanest flora and fauna on the planet.  I looked up gimpy-gimpy, and OMG!!!

That’s life down under!
Nonetheless, stinging tree fruit
Is quite delicious!

Is quite delicious
If you dare to chance the sting.
Tastes like mulberries!

It does taste very nice! Rather like mulberries, which is not surprising, given the close botanical relationship of the families of the nettles, figs, mulberries and cannabis. I have occasionally, with great caution, harvested the fruit of stinging trees from along the track to my house when I lived in the rainforest of the Atherton Tableland, near Middle Brook, many years ago. Almost worth the risk. But I was learning that forest at the time, and wanted to know it in depth.
