Charlie follows the others into the canteen. Nothing too notable. Food though! Hm... If you can call this food. Well, better than nothing? Supposedly she didn´t eat in centuries, so maybe this will taste good to her. Maybe.
Also a rifle... Some of the staff here seems to have been very fond of hiding things.
He fills 6 glasses and place them in a line over the counter. "First one in 200 years is on the house." Nine drinks his glass straight, fills 6 plastic bottles, puts them inside the duffel bag and closes it.
Nine lifts the bag. It's heavy, but he carried heavier ones. "Ok, we still have one room to check. Ready when you are."
"Cheers!", Charlie says, lifting her glass up. Before she drinks it, she smells on it though, just to be safe. No, seems normal. Also tastes normal, maybe not as fresh as it could be, but it´s fine. And helps with the headache she still has.
Nine
He looks at Faust. "Well done. Now what about passing that crowbar to Jay? At least it's a better weapon than a wrench, and our mechanic may find other uses for that." He approaches Charlie, holding the baton by its tip, and offers it to her. "As this one is probably better than that screwdriver. I'll keep with the wrench until we find another weapon."
"Uh, thanks."
She weighs it in her hand in comparison to her own wrench in the other one. She kinda wants to keep that one too, as it´s a tool she´s more familiar with. Well, not that she´s
punched anyone with one before, but she has used it for its actual purpose. She has nowhere to put it though. And holding something with two hands gives it more power when striking, so being able to use both would be preferable.
To delay her decision she listens to Faust´s gun-lecture some more. Huh, she didn´t expect him to know so much. Sure, Nine and Arthur can deal with weapons, they have stated to be military-people. But what does Faust do actually?
After Robin has stomped off she adresses him with genuine interest.
"Hey Faust, how come you know so much about guns? I thought you were a civillian."
Robin
She huffs and rolls her eyes. "Great. Games. You all ready to move?"
Oh what? What a luxury... Charlie had never really had the time for video-games in dancing-school, but she played a couple of times during holidays with her siblings. And now she´s curious after all how the people here spent their free time. She walks over to the terminal as well, quickly finding a bin filled with a handfull of holotape games. She goes through them, eventually finding one titled 'Red Menace'. She holds it up for the other´s to see.
"Hey look, we had that one as kids! You had to dodge barrels or something if I remember correctly."
She looks at the tape with some trace of nostalgia despite vaguely remembering being terrible at playing it.
Quietly she murmurs to herself: "Hm, I think I´m gonna keep this..."
It´s clearly a useless item, will take up space and now Charlie has three things she can put nowhere in her hands. But it´s fine. She looks around if another bag is somewhere about.
