Alright. Just for confirmation, before I post anything - is the event gonna run like I post one initial post saying that from now until next monday (the anniversary), people can post works based on info pages (and I'd add the link), and others can guess which page it is based on?

Or are we going to have info-page based prompts that pop up sometimes as well?

I sit corrected! You have it under ‘languages’ in the thread. The subject just came up  because a friend and I were discussing an operatic duet riff on ‘Miau’ . Might have been by Rossini (dunno if he wrote it, but the story was that Rossini and his lover used to sing it together - opera singers at play! Strange things remind you of stuff!

Hello again! Mostly because of Minna’s recent comment about “next chapter”, but also checking chapter length, I have a feeling another Chapter Break may be stalking us! So, to be able to organize, I suggest we start now.

Previously there was an idea thrown out that we’d do shared prompts, i.e. a few persons would take the same one on consecutive days. It’s always been very interesting to see various takes on the same idea with the daily contributions and now in the YoinkTober challenge.

So, unless someone comes up with a better idea quickly, I suggest we go with this. Should it be five prompts with three days each, or 4/4 or what do you think?

Also please provide suggestions for the theme or even the prompts themselves! Let’s get the ball rolling again!

I haven't given much thought yet to the actual structure of a break event, but I'm a little bit cognisant of the fact that we get sign-ups for the holiday period events in November - Secret Santa and the Advent Calendar.  Depending on the timing of the break, we might risk burnout, or conversely ramp up momentum toward these?  I can't tell.  I've been really delighted on the uptake this year of the October prompts, so maybe the risk isn't there.

AND after I actually really read what Minna says, it’s going to be a very short break. As it’s taking place at the same time as the YoinkTober, I suggest everyone interested in livening up their break can participate there. There are not one but two lists of prompts, and the media is free choice!

I agree with what you guys have said - since it sounds like it'll be a short break, and we've got a whole lot of events going on and/or coming up at this time of year, it definitely sounds sensible to encourage people to participate in ongoing events instead of saddling everyone with a new one.

We already have something organized to fill this upcoming break, and it's working very well so far. No need to add more prompts and threads.

So I suggest that we post the link for the YoinkTober event in the comments section in the following days (together with the info pages) and when the break starts, inviting everyone to watch and participate.
