Yay! I have fixed the mature content board - people should be able to access it now. I'll keep working at the politics board since I don't think that one is fixed yet.

Is it (grudgingly) expected behavior that both a simple and an advanced forum search for, as an example, "karanteeni" finds the post where Wave repeated it (not an outright quote, mind) but not Groupoid's original one?

That does not seem like it is meant to be happening. I can take a look and contact hushpiper about it if it's proving an issue for people

Interestingly, if I search for words in Groupoid's post that Wave did NOT repeat (eg itsy-bitsy), Groupoid's post still comes up; however searches for the repeated words (eg. blinky) only show Wave's. The search order also seems completely out of wack - if I search a moderately common word such as "Lalli" the first result is from 2022, the next result from 2023 and the fourth result from 2017.

This seems like a fairly major issue with the search function in general, and one I am definitely not confident in my own abilities to solve. If people are finding this an issue I'm happy to contact Hushpiper and see if they can do anything.

I tried a search for karanteeni as well before I posted, but didn't delve much into the lack of result (seeing as how I'd already used up my time re-reading two whole pages of Disqus comments).

Unfortunately we've been having a persistent issue with new user signups this year, with new registrations getting an "undefined constant error" when they try to submit their information. I've been in contact with Wyrd, one of our back-end admins, to try and resolve this issue, but it seems to be a tricky one so far and not much progress has been made. I'm afraid I've neglected to publically post about it until now, which was inadvisable on my part as I think it has caused a bit of confusion.

I'll be sure to let everyone know when it is fixed, and I'm very sorry if you're a new user reading this and are currently unable to sign up to the forum.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or a thing to fix, or even whether it's actually from this board; but I just got an email with a "weekly digest" that says it's from the webmaster of this forum. It looks reasonable enough, aside from saying the same batch of stuff twice over -- including repeating a link, neither of which I clicked on -- but I haven't been getting weekly digests from these boards before; so thought I'd better check that this is you.

Ehhh, nope, not that I'm aware?  Smells like spam / AI shenanigans to me, good on you for not clicking the links. 
Probably unrelated, but I have noticed on my AO3 account, one of my older stories has been suddenly getting comments. (My settings are that only Registered Users can leave comments.)  The first one I got was obviously fake, it was essentially a summary of my story but invited me to email or Discord (no links) to discuss the possiblity of collaborating on fanart for the original material. I didn't answer; blocked user.
The second one fooled me, it was just a short gush about the work by a registered user with a character avatar.  Because I'm polite, I thanked them for their comment, and then they followed up with the request to collaborate on art via email or Discord.
