Their range has the colors I have determined for everyone's hair color. Beige, for Tuuri and Lalli, Sand for Mikkel, Ivory for Emil, and Tomatoe for Sigrun and Braidy. I was going for expedition uniforms with prim and tert.

I'm on the hunt for a good Mikkel Tundra... (dem sideburns tho), have a breeding pair for a Sigrun wildclaw, and have not yet decided what breed Braidy is. Any breed like to sit in boxes??

(Actually it's a little boy) But i Was quite happily surprised to Hatch him from a two egg nest. Is named Lalli, I'm thinking of maybe gifting him to someone.

Sure, I'm BahamutRegent. And StandStill and StaySilent have just hatched a nest of two, both girls. One white/gold/shadow, basic/seraph/smoke the other white/sunshine/obsidian, basic/eye spots/circuit. If you are interested.

Eee, they're really pretty! :D Normally, I'd be super interested, but I'm currently trying to limit the number of dragons in my lair. I'm actually going to be getting rid of several of them during my flight's next push. And putting off lair expansions to save for genes.

The staff never really say until they know when. I joined in December...but I know before that, they had registration windows in both October and November at least. There was a big event in December that ended up bringing light to several technical problems, so they waited until a lot of things were improved before opening reg again. But since there was once this month, there might not be too much time before the next one! I'd be happy to inform you about the next one when it comes around if you'd like :)
Thought I will tell you, reg windows usually only for about a day (though they did extend it several hours this month). I'm glad my sister told me about it when she did lol.

Yeahhh I have a bit of a Skydancer hoarding problem. My faves along with Fae, Pearlcatchers, and Imperials (which I have a terrible lack of).

I do love how your lair is organized by color. It made me oddly happy?? Says the person who alphabetized hers.

My top fave breeds are Skydancers, Tundras, Imps, and Ridgebacks.

I would definitely read up on the different flights beforehand to decide which one you want to be in. I did not do this and chose largely uninformed. But I got lucky and absolutely love the flight I chose. My sister was completely right that I'd love Arcane. (Though according to MBTI, I'd fit really well in Nature)

Also, when you start, you get to customize one dragon. Some people have said they didn't know this at the beginning, so they chose random colors, thinking they'll get to make another one. You get to choose between four starter breeds and the primary (body) and secondary (wing) colors. Tertiary is randomly generated and only shows up when the gene is something other than basic. You start off with all basic (like...flat) colors, but then you can buy genes. And/or buy dragons with the genes you want and breed them. Oh yeah, and don't exalt your starters (you get the one custom and one random) because you don't get any treasure for them.) And if you don't like your random starter (progen) you can buy breed change scrolls.

And I'll have a newbie gift package waiting :)

I really considered that flight actually! The eye color is one of my favorites, and everyone I've met from Wind has been super duper nice.

We're probably the most disorganized flight, but that's part of the fun- it's a really chill and friendly group. We also like confusing the heck out of the other flights. Like trying to cause an apocalypse on April Fool's Day because that's how magelets do.

I've been working on this first gen Ridgeback girlie here, and i'm thinking I'd like her to have Iridescent/Stripes/Spines!
I'm trying to finalize her customization as well, but I'm unsure as to what else I should give her to wear.

I have an ongoing dragon project, but I haven;t been working on it lately. I just haven't been able to find dragons that would fit in very well with the project.

Yeah, I'm a little frustrated with it. I can't play the coli very well on my tablet so most of my income comes from selling hatchlings which doesn't go well.

Any way, I don't really have any project dragons. I'm looking at maybe getting rid of a few of my adults. I had a project in mind of breeding a triple basic noc with a gened noc and keeping a double basic, to breed with another gened. While keeping every dragon in the line pure noc and to produce low gen dragons. Was using second gen nocs for the entire thing.

What kind of dragons are you looking for?

I don't really have a set type of dragons that I look for, I normally just stroll through the auction house, and pick up any that I like, if I have the space for 'em.

Yeah. I'm working on getting a laptop so it'll be easier. 

I'm the same with dragons, I just dropped 40g on a veperia guardian pair. The boy is a XYX and he's lovely.

And, the live update is over. I think some wing jewelry would have been nice, but I do like the apparel that we ended up with. I think some of it would look pretty god, combined with silks.

And so far as I can tell, having a referral is good for the person who referred you. At least that's how it usually works...

It just benefits the person who you put as a referral. When you buy the premium currency (Gems) the person you put as your referral also gets some gems.

ADVICE
Save up for lair expansions from the start.
Use the hoard if you have splurging tendencies.

You do get a free flight change that you can use to switch. I used mine to go from Wind to Earth.

WAIT. Start in Arcane, then switch over to Plague later. You could have lore that your dragons know some necromancy stuff!

Welcome to all the new members! I joined in April, and am currently spending way too much time on FR, mostly roleplaying and writing bios and my Nuzlocke (and today I lost another dragon. Left with two, aaargh). As for beginners, just have fun, socialize, don't be afraid to make use of all the wonderful gifts more experienced users offer to the newbies, read the guides, and don't sell eggs to Crim. And no, I don't have any themed dragons :P

How exactly would a FR Nuzlocke work, Nimphy? Would you be making use of the Coliseum?

On the topic of themed dragons, I have most of the main cast of Steven Universe, and several dragons based off of Transformers characters. oh my god i feel like such a nerd

Pyrite, it depends, everyone has their own rules. I made up a lot of my own, but here is the original thread (http://www1.flightrising.com/forums/frd/1150203).

My own rules:

Genes and scrolls:
1. You can't give a dragon a primary gene until level 10, can't give them a secondary gene until level 15, and can't give them a tertiary gene until level 20.
2. You can scatter-scroll a dragon only if they're level 25.
3. You can't use breed change scrolls on any dragons EDITED: you can, but only before the hatchling is introduced to the story (and only on purchased egg-hatchlings).

Coliseum:
1. If a dragon faints in the coli, it's dead. Exalt.
2. Battle stones can't be bought for a dragon unless they're level 13 or higher.
3. You can't reload the coli. Flee, and take the hit to energy.
4. A dragon can be saved from death only if (both conditions must be satisfied)
A) All the oppnents are dead in the next round
B) One of the other dragons is at 40% energy or above
C) In alternative to B, if the dragons are in the Training Fields or the Woodland Path
5. A saved dragon can't fight in the Coli for three days, to recover.

Eggs, nests and breeding
1. For every hatchling, flip a coin. If tails, the hatchling died. Exalt. If heads, you have a survivor.
2. Flip a coin for every found egg, except for the very first one (if the first egg was bought, this exception does not apply to the second egg). If tails, the egg is unfertilized. Sell. If heads, you have a new hatchling
3. You can't buy dragons from the AH, but you can buy eggs. Dragons may be gifted.
4. You can only buy one egg a month.
5. Purchased eggs are guaranteed to survive, until they are no longer hatchlings.
6. Dragons can only breed with like-sized dragons. However, the rules I found already were a bit too restrictive for my tastes, so instead of dividing them by race, I'll compare actual sizes at the moment of breeding, and breed if they're relatively similar.
7. If all the eggs in a nest by the same couple die twice in a row, the female is deemed sterile.
8. If the male mates with another female, and all the eggs die, he is deemed sterile, and the female gets a third chance to breed.
9. If all the eggs in the female's nest die again, they are now both sterile.
10. Once two dragons mate, they are a couple, and cannot mate with other dragons unless one of the two is declared sterile.

Other:
1. Lore is to be followed. That means that after 2 months of age (FR time) Guardians have to go for their Search. Give away to someone.
2. If a dragon's energy reaches 0%, they starve to death. Exalt.
3. Once a hatchling gains adult form (grows 5 days old) they are to be given a piece of apparel as a gift.
4. Pics or it didn't happen, but screenshots are not necessary, just pics of what you found. The rest is based on the honor system.
5. The dragons have to be named by random generator, although there is no limit to how many times you can generate a name before you find a suitable one.
6. During a holiday all scavenging/digging is required to be done in the celebrating element's area.
7. Gifts will be incorporated into the story, and appreciated, but can't be asked for.

That does seem pretty fun! I get too attached to dragons, though. Maybe once I get several more pages added to my lair, I'll try a modified Nuzlocke.

I've always liked RPing, but I don't think I'm particularly good at it, so I don't really do it on FR.

PFFT. Like I'm so good at it. I just roleplay for the fun, I don't really care if I do it well or not, and I've never been told my roleplaying is annoying, so I'll continue.

I have a Flight Rising account that I made because my friend was pestering me about it during the second last registration opening, but I have no idea how breeding and such works so my account is a mess, haha. Also the cog things for Festive Favors is confusing?
