Anne’s story made sense in a horrible way, well suited to the horrible world they live, or un-live in. The Swan was really cool but her story felt cut short. I would have loved to know more than just ”annoyed shaker of souls”.

I've only just noticed how the line-inking style of this Swan illustration is almost a throwback to ARtD, especially compared to the picture of Pastor Anne's triumph.
