I'm thinking I *need* the gym tonight.  And this is one of the songs that keeps me going in the gym.

oh man this brought back some great memories

thanks for posting this one

To make this post not entirely pointless : https://youtu.be/stsClmHLlkc?t=3m59s  Basia Bulat live at Massey Hall, I set it to start at the song "Five, Four"   I like it a lot.

Two different versions of the same song
gentle:

and storm:

Double H, Thank you for this one. It came on Saturday and I was listening to it on the way to work. I'd be playing it now but we're not allowed to put strange CDs/DVDs/thumb drives/etc into our work computers, it's that kind of a place. I particularly like that the Storm sessions are not over metal-ly, just really raucous in a good sort of a way.  I've always liked "concept" albums and ones that incorporate non-standard rock&roll instruments into the music. I was a big fan of Renaissance way back when they were in their prime. Progressive metal, an interesting concept. Would you care to recommend a particular Haven CD for a start or should I just listen around a bit?

Since you like The Gentle Storm and concept albums you might also like Ayreon. It's a project by the same composer as from The Gentle Storm. He has many projects but I think Ayreon is his main project.
Here's a song by Ayreon:

As for what Haken album to start with. Yeah, I'd say just listen around a bit.

The temporary dental work holding one of my teeth together started to fail this week (it's OK, I have a dentist's appointment on Friday), and as I was poking around in my mouth with a pair of scissors this morning trying to trim a loose piece of plastic thread, this awful song popped into my head...

THANK you for linking this! I just remembered this was played at a bar last Saturday, it was such a great night! Studio Killers is everything and dancing to it with old friends, maybe even most best.
But Crowley remembered what Heaven was like, and it had quite a few things in common with Hell. You couldn't get a decent drink in either of them, for a start. And the boredom you got in Heaven was almost as bad as the excitement you got in Hell.
