I've been lowkey obsessed with this band for a couple weeks now:

Some of you may have heard of The Knife? This is that girl's solo project :)

I can't recall any Canadian music. But there is some random Russian songs I like. My mother listens to Vladimir Vysotskij and I do like some of his songs. Have you noticed big differences between Russian, Nordic and Canadian music? There must be some.

Gordon Lightfoot, Rush, Great Big Sea, Stan Rogers, Arcade Fire, k.d. lang, Metric, Barenaked Ladies, The Arrogant Worms, Stars, Avril Lavigne, Alanis Morissette, Melissa Auf der Maur, Sarah McLachlan, Celine Dion, Jann Arden, Diana Krall, Jane Siberry.

That's just off the top of my head.
Keep an eye on me. I shimmer on horizons.

Chris de Burgh - A Spaceman Came Travelling
An old favourite. Probably the most surreal Christmas song I've ever heard.
(Since Nov 11 is past, that means it's officially Not Too Early to listen to this kind of thing. ;p )

The soundtrack of Lara Croft Go is a very good and relaxing ambient electronic music. https://soundcloud.com/crystaldynamics/sets/lara-croft-go-ost

Our Lady Peace - Superman's Dead

So much nostalgia whenever I hear this song... it was so, so popular when I was a kid. OLP's sound is a lot different these days, but I like their old and new stuff equally.

Days like this just won't start without Shiina Ringo (and double the usual amount of coffee, which reminds me I should go make some).

This song, by Norwegian singer Ida Maria (whom I should really check out more) was stuck in my head for a few days, so I thought I'd share! Video features some low-impact dancing skeletons and a banana but is otherwise entirely safe

This song is vaguely familiar to me - I have faint recollections of Eurodance music dating to the turn of the millennium, when I was 4-5 years old.

From my earliest childhood, I can also clearly remember this song (or the bell part at the very least) - in the year 2000 it was very often played on the radio here. It's pretty bland, but it brings back some memories.

Does anyone have any memorable music from years ago?

Personent Hodie is a Medieval Finnish Christmas song that I remember from my early childhood. My parents and I would go meet grandparents on Christmas Eve, there would be lots of food, chocolate absolutely everywhere, adults drinking adult drinks and Piae Cantones playing on the background. I love them all but Personent Hodie is still one of my favourite songs for this time of the year.
