Lowercase Noises - Sweet Pea

Okay, fine, there's a cello and a violin. But still.

Since this is now an option I'm going to use it right away for... Mandolin Madoka Magica, that's what. I don't know what I was expecting but definitely not this level of sheer brilliance!

We do have a music thread already, but I don't think we have a video sharing thread.
Should we make this a youtube-specific thread?
Feel free to PM.

Sounds good to me!

In which case, this seems like a good video to start off with :)

@Solovei: Always just irks me that he says Finland has been with the baltics which doesn't make any sense and i have never heard that, hell i have even heard the "finns are mongols" theory more often.

It's because today's Finns are descended from the Baltic Finns. Today the closest ethnic relatives to Finns live in the Baltic countries, therefore the Finland-Baltics connection.

Which while is true doesn't still connect Finland to Lithuanians or Latvians.

In another forum there used to be an argument of why Finland is nordic and Estonia isn't and the premise essentially went:

Sweden is part of Nordics and because Finland is so similiar to Sweden we are also part of the Nordic, but Since Estonia is only similiar to Finland, not Sweden they are not nordic.

By going this same premise Finland, while similiar to Estonia has naught to do with Latvia or Lithuania.

Don't worry, it's just some people tumbling down a hill after cheese. :)
And yeah, some of them do it in costumes.

I've had an on-and-off love affair with classical guitar for almost two decades, and I would like to share some favorite pieces.

Concierto de Aranjuez ("That's the Concert of Orange Juice to you!" and a cookie to whomever gets the reference), by Joaquin Rodrigo

"Gran Vals" by Fransisco Tarregá. Now if I could only get that bit at 0:13 as a ringtone....

"Asturias", by Isaac Albeniz.

"Fantasia para un gentilhombre", by Joaquin Rodrigo. Written as a gift for Andres Segovia, whom apparently didn't think much of "Aranjuez".

"Sakura" - Trad. played by P-O Kindgren. Yes, I know it's a koto piece originally, but... just listen to it!

edit: wrong link to "Aranjuez". Oopsie...

Heeeey so I know I've posted about this guy very many times already (because I like his music very much), but you can download his latest album for free until Friday. And both the album and the free-ness are great.
