Here's an unusual source of mood music at the dark and tragic end of the spectrum; the soundtrack for the chilling but compelling Channel 4 documentary Chaos In The Cockpit - The Disappearance of Flight 447.

Here's another piece of music by Marcus Warner that is, I believe, appropriate for this forum.

oo, yesss, Yastreb I love that song (the latter)!!

My contribution for today is a playlist fittingly dubbed "absolute chaos", in which I and my 5 friends add all our favorite songs into one mega list. So far we have about 130 songs, and I don't think I'll ever run out of music to listen to again  ;D

btw, i'm not sure if it's public or not because i'm one of the contributers so i can see it whenever i want, so if it's not, sorry! I am not the creator although i can ask my friend to make it public if it's not

Meant to post this nine days ago on the 75th anniversary of the events commemorated. But I forgot, so here it is a little bit late.

/>
The Battle for Castle Itter (German: Schlacht um Schloss Itter) was fought in the Austrian North Tyrol village of Itter on 5 May 1945, in the last days of the European Theater of World War II.

Troops of the 23rd Tank Battalion of the 12th Armored Division of the US XXI Corps led by Captain John C. "Jack" Lee, Jr., a number of Wehrmacht soldiers led by Major Josef "Sepp" Gangl, SS-Hauptsturmführer Kurt-Siegfried Schrader, and recently freed French prisoners of war defended Castle Itter against an attacking force from the 17th SS Panzergrenadier Division until relief from the American 142nd Infantry Regiment of the 36th Division of XXI Corps arrived.

The French prisoners included former prime ministers, generals and a tennis star. It is the only known time during the war in which Americans and Germans fought side-by-side. Popular accounts of the battle have called it the strangest battle of World War II.

"I just felt like writing something creeping, twisted, and possibly dripping with slime. Most importantly, I felt like creating something transportative. I hope the track takes its listeners on a journey to the darkest corners of their imaginations… listen – taste the salt on the sea air – witness the slathering foul beast rise from his slumber…" - Dan Haigh

There's a piece of music that I would love to know more about; it was used for the soundtrack of a YouTube posting. It's between 08:44 and 12:00 approximately. WARNING: the subject of the video is an air disaster - Air Asia Flight 8501.

This reminds me that I had been listening to a lot of Telphone/Teléfono, which is a bilingual English/Spanish album by Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas. Unfortunately, all her music videos are for the English versions of the songs.

A few jams that have been my go-to lately, fair warning: i like music with yelling  :))

Dan Smith's poetry really gets to me, man. And the music is a beautiful accompaniment to it. I find the following lines very calming and uplifting:

"I am not alone, and you are not alone
And we are not alone together
Because it's okay to be scared sometimes
And brave sometimes
And fail sometimes, sometimes
It's not possible to lose every time
We have the time, we have the time
What we build could be anything."

this one just gets me every time with that instrumental section and the finale. Goosebumps.

"We'll climb the mountains before we reach the sea,
the rain will stop eventually,
we'll drive slow across black ice and you'll be safe to rest your eyes."

this one just puts me in a really calm mood. Something about the synth and melody of it.

I often wonder how much of our Old World popular culture would be preserved or remembered in Y90. I don’t want to think everything would be lost. One possibility could be making new versions using traditional instruments to play Old World songs. Kinda like this:

It’s also a lovely performance in its own.
