Currently listening to:

Jazz with an infectious bassline, a neat little gospel section (reminiscent of... Sun Ra? Charles Mingus??)... pretty nice stuff.

Yuri on Ice has taken over my life, so this is now my new favorite song.

I totally don't wear socks and pretend to ice skate to this song around my house on the hardwood floor when no one else is home . Never.

I feel like I've heard this periodically throughout my life, but I have no idea where and there's only two youtube videos for it, which is weird by itself. This one is better quality but it doesn't have the full song.

Not sure if it counts because I was listening to it maybe 30 minutes ago (it's on my playlist of walking songs for when I decide to wander around), but I feel it has a place in this thread...weirdly, from the Girls und Panzer movie, but one of the best arrangements of this that I've heard for more than just a few musicians.  If some of the instrumentation is sampled or synthesised, it's relatively hard to tell, and I'm normally good at picking that out.  Reasonably sure the kantele is real, at least.

The 90's were,
        A: Awesome
        B: The worst thing ever

You must pick one!

Uhhh so there's a lot of blood in this video at the end for some reason and a Dark Souls reference??? I have no idea what's going on but the song is good.

Even if I only tackle music...there is no way to do an A/B with that. Some elements of the 90s (the alt-rock/grunge/early goth scene) was fantastic, and even some of the pop and the country influence on pop-rock were awesome.  Yes, some too were garbage (a lot of the bad attempts at making techno popular, for example), but even some of those acts we now view as being kind of awful did produce some gems, and/or jump-start the careers of those who'd later go on to be very different from their awful-pop roots, e.g. Justin Timberlake (it's late and I'm drunk, I'm sure I can come up with other examples sometime). Even Hanson (who had been songwriting and performing since even a younger age than was made obvious by their high-pitched boy-band sound on their radio hits) produced some solid numbers that are absolutely 3000% departed from what we know them for ("Mmm-Bop"), such as "This Time Around":

Spoiler: show

The 1990's produced some truly terrible music, and some truly amazing music.  One of my absolute favorites from the 90s, from Concrete Blonde (music video slightly inappropriate at moments as it's supposed to give off the strip-club vibe but there's no nudity), is an example of a revolution in alt-rock, and is acknowledged as one of the first truly "goth" sounds (heavy bass, less emphasis on guitar for rhythm):

Oh I agree totally. It's just a silly headline for a wildly silly song :)
