OH WOW I totally forgot about her until you posted this ! I used to listen to her quite a bit back in high school  :D so thank you for reminding me of her !!

But anway:

For such a lovely song this certainly has a peculiar name  ;D so this is Owen Pallett from when he used to go by the stagename "Final Fantasy" I really like how his music is very lovely and in a way elegant, but also in a lot of ways odd and intense. I'm also super proud of him because he's actually moved up into writing symphonies, and even major film scores ! A few years ago he actually helped produce the film score for "Her" (aaaaand I kind of saw that movie just because I found out Owen Pallett did the musical score for it . . )

Mother Falcon is pretty great. It started out as a project between some high school students who were in a string quartet and wanted to write and play more contemporary stuff together, and then they ended up accumulating more members and now I think they're at around 20-ish people.

Anyway they play three songs here, the first one is 'Marigold' the second one that starts at about 3:30 is 'Marfa' and the third one that starts at about 8:30 is 'Dirty Summer'
