Jureeya, I soundly second what Sc0ut said, poor dear Emil must be depicted in his nicely knocked-around state again (yes the 2nd, more-roughed-up, pic is my favourite. Sorry Emil.)

So many amazing arts!

Ana that paper cut is so cool! I'm really impressed, doing that kind of delicate cutting is tricky.

And speaking of impressive, Laufey that embroidery is seriously amazing! I can't imagine how long it must have taken...I've embroidered into paper maybe once or twice (and it was much simpler) and it took forever! The sewing and the watercolor look really good together.

starfallz those tiny Hotakainens are too much! Look at their little faces, EEEEEE! (I want to hug that precious Lalli, but he would hate it so I won't). And I like Tuuri munching a cookie while reading, that is 100% something I can see her doing. (Since it's also something I do regularly, hehe).

frenci I love the expression on Emil's face! He looks very concerned, haha. Out of curiosity, what did you use for the white parts? The only thing I don't like about watercolor is sometimes I forget to leave a white space and it's hard to correct.

Jureeya I'm sorry to hear about your hangover, but I really like this Emil drawing that resulted from it! Poor boy needs a hug (but a gentle one, because those bruises look painful).

shoop - I really love your style, and again, you drew nice chess pieces
Gwenno - I guess the others gave some good advice, but it's definitely a good first try; I'm looking forward to more realistic portraits from you.
laila - aww, kitty is so cute!
Ana Nymus - O_O you're the master of scissors! It's an incredible piece of art!
Laufey - It's a cool idea mixing awesome Sifrun with awesome embrodiery
starfallz - Oh, look at these cuties! Especially little Lalli :3
frenci - lovely watercolour Emil!
Jureeya - By the end of the expedition Emil will proudly show off his battle scars :)

Of course I was blown away by Onni's owlsomeness, so this had to happen:

I added the white leter with a white gel pen, tho before finding a decent one i used to use white acrylics.
If you want to leave white paper spots you should search for masking fluid (and some cheap brushes to use it, cos it completly destroys them)

frenci - lovely watercolour Emil!

Frenci He looks great! < 3 (Siiigh I love it that so many people here work with watercolours, even if only occasionally)
as much as i consider myself principally a digital artist, watercolors are fun from time to time so...  ;D

Ah, nice! I have masking fluid, but sometimes I forget to use it (or I use it but it doesn't work quite how I intended; it's getting a little old so it's kind of thick.) I used to have this little thing that was like a paint brush but had a silicone or rubber tip instead of bristles, and it was great for masking! Sadly I've lost it somewhere. Perhaps I'll test out some white gel pens, because it would be nice to have a backup white.

Oh my gosh, Helia that's great! I love how subtle the colors are on Onni and his luonto, especially contrasted against that gorgeous starry sky. This thread is really making me want to draw some Owlnni!

Beautiful! All beautiful! I love how roughed-up Emil is just looking at his injuries with an expression that says 'Eh, worth it,' since I now headcanon that he got them from trying to restrain panicked!sleeping!Lalli.

And Onni with owl... gorgeous!

Hello humans (and trolls), I am indeed NOT dead! I haven't been here for SO LONG, I have no excuses (except school), but I wanted to start up being a more active part of this forum again! So blanket appreciation to you all, I just plowed through 10 pages of glorious art! Keep it up, I hope to contribute something here soon! ;D
