I sense a Miyazaki vibe in this drawing. Very fresh. Was the paper a cool blue tone or is that the way you retouched it?

piney your lines are always so clean but so pop-art-y! idk how you manipulate line thickness so well but you do and it's awesome.
shaeria this!!! this is adorable!!! the colors are so good!!!!

And thank you all for the response to the van picture!!! indui if you do redraw it you absolutely have to show me + everyone, thats my sole condition (along with like, credit, but you mentioned that haha)!

Thank you!! My lines have cleaned up so much since last year's, haha :P

piney your lines are always so clean but so pop-art-y! idk how you manipulate line thickness so well but you do and it's awesome.

Thanks - ooh, pop-art-y? I like the comparison :D And you should've seen my lines when I started playing with line thickness. They were horrendous.

That's awesome! That speed drawing video is really cool to watch! It syncs up to the music really well... kind of a music video effect ^^
Also... you're the artist who did that Lalli's dream bird animation, right? That one is freaking amazing. I could watch it all day.

Kick, I like your contribution to the Sigrunvoid (why void? Because we're filling it? I can use an expression even if I don't understand it!), and you've colored with a mousepad? Wow, that's some tenacity right there!

I've made a redraw of Tuuri, done while watching Smirtys quick-draw until I almost knew the songs by heart and stealing copying learning from that teqnique as best I could. This forum is so good for inspiring and stretching drawing goals! For comparison, the Tuuri I drew 5 months ago (to be fair, I was not going for realistic to the same degree, and I used a lot less time, about 1 hour compared to at least 4 hours for this redraw (I lose count of exact time. This is the third evening I'm working on it, and choose to call it finished)

Things I've learned from this (and I realize I could implement these a lot more than I do):
1. Remember all the different colors and don't use only three shades of the palette for base, shadows and highlight
2. Shadows are a lot darker than I think. (While shading there was a lot of "no, darker than that. No darker than that, too. ... Wimp, those shadows could still be darker" going on in my mind).

Even accounting for the difference in time spent, that is some insane progress! :o
I must try my hand at this style one of these days...
