She looks really pretty and nice and motherly and that answers what her hair would look like because she can't grow sideburns...

Omigosh, I love those books! And the illustrations! They were part of my childhood (and adulthood...) too! Your Sigrun is a valiant effort. :)
I agree with Sunflower that Reynir might be a better subject for this style. I also would like to see a troll in this style...

Okay, here's the thing: I am currently looking at living on a budget of $25 a week (after rent and utilities) for at least the next three months.
So here's what I need to know.
If I were to set it up somehow (maybe on Deviantart if they don't require a premium account), would people be willing to pay me real, actual, human people USA dollars for my work? Just an extra $15 a week on the side would make a huge difference (I might be able to afford meat!) but if y'all think that won't happen any time soon I need to know right off the bat.
I have other plans for extra cash (paper editing, anybody?) and I'm going to be drawing a ton anyway (I'm expecting an output of about 5 completed works a week on average) so the question is whether or not people will look at my stuff and think, "Hmm. Maybe it'd be worth $8 to have this in my possession!"
What do y'all think? Yea or Nay?

First off wow, that is one scary looking troll there, I'm just gonna stare at it a little longer.

Second, you could definitely use Devi for paid commissions, and I'd use PayPal for the pay. (And if I had an extra few dollars I'd send it to ya, I know how hard it is to live on nothing)

I don't think that anyone would want me for an art critic, but let me point out that the actual physical size your artwork'll typically have might be relevant here.

Other than that, let the mathematician point out that someone somewhere wanting to buy doesn't mean that transport will work out - postage and cardboard-backed envelopes will take quite a bite out of a $8 price tag -, or that you'll actually get paid if the "buyer" can somehow get around that part. Whatever sales channel you use, ask other (seller-side) users how reliably its solutions for the latter do work in practice.

Well first of all, let me say that that is a fantastically creepy looking troll! I love the detailed textures everywhere!

Have you seen the Art Commission Thread yet? It would be a great place to advertise this sort of thing so everyone can see it!

Love it, they look surprisingly caring and mellow compared to the male version. Maybe 'Mikaela' would fit better as her name (I've never met a Mikkeline).
