Omigosh, I love those books! And the illustrations! They were part of my childhood (and adulthood...) too! Your Sigrun is a valiant effort. :)
I agree with Sunflower that Reynir might be a better subject for this style. I also would like to see a troll in this style...

H. J. Ford! Wonderful! I always wanted to see him illustrate the works of George MacDonald, but if he ever did I missed it. I would never have thought of that style suiting Sigrun, but it does.

was laufey saying "imagine reynir with a combover"
and I can't like. imagine it and not draw that, right
I only meant to draw it as a joke but then I ended up taking my drawing seriously after all

or maybe we're talking about a different kind of combover?? i only know the type you do to cover your head going bald, and that's what the conversation was about. reynir getting bald. crushing everyone's hopes and dreams
