On the stream last night, Sharion suggested I use my star brush instead of hand-dotting all the freckles on Reynir, and that kind of inspired me to do starry Reynir (Stareynir? Reynyx? Reynut?)

I really advise that you look at it fullview, the freckles have a lot of detail in them that gets lost when it's zoomed out

This reminds me of "And All The Stars," a great sci-fi book by Andrea Höst. Basically Earth gets terraformed by giant columns that spew purple dust, and when humans come in contact with the dust, they develop blue or green splotches of coloring, and the blues have stars and constellations in their coloring.

So Reynir could be a high-contact blue...or just awesome I suppose.

Emil sure is a fancy fish. And that pose suits him perfectly, it's so Emil . Love the slight muffin top on him.  I imagine a tropical island or coral reef when looking at the design. What did you base the other fish designs on? Is Sigrun a shark?

And for those of you wondering, yes, Emil does have a chest hair. Singular. Which he is very proud of.

Headcannon. It's only visible under a magnifying glass though.

Emil's a goldfish because he's sparkly and blond and kinda dorky, Sigrun's a shark because raaaaaaawr, Lalli's a cloudfish because ... idk, I had one for a while and it hid under things and was silvery-coloured, Tuuri's a pufferfish because d'aww it's so round and fluf-OW OW OW IT'S COVERED IN STABBY BITS, Reynir's a salmon because of the red stripe and also because lots of people think he'd be delicious, and Mikkel's a whale/dolphin ... because.
