A thing we need: an animated gif of those four pannels of Mikkel teaching Lalli how to properly great someone.
I had to fill some of the background, erase the Tuuri/Sigrun dialogue and, to fill some gaps in Mikkel's anatomy, I actually had to draw! (Well, kinda. Mostly vector lines and collor filling)

But there you go, four panels desacrating Minna's art in a cheap gif. Enjoy!

Mention of Lalli's "pin-up pose" on the hood of the Cattank led me to imagine a pin-up photo shoot featuring our cast (strictly for the high-minded purpose of raising funds and support for the Expedition, of course).

Well, that inspired the marvelous OrigamiOwl to *illustrate* the photo shoot.  Now, she was a little shy, and I had to persuade her to share her drawing with the full community.  So let's all give her a warm welcome, and maybe she'll draw some more for us!

I have provided an edited transcript of the studio conversation during the shoot.
Frames 1 and 2:
TUURI: He says lean over.  Stretch your arms out like you're washing the car.  *click, click*
3. TUURI: Now he says climb up on the hood.
4. LALLI: Like this?  What for?
5. PHOTOGRAPHER: Pam, darling, get the fish.
6. ASSISTANT: Psst!  Kitty-kitty-kitty!
7, 8. PHOTOGRAPHER (under his breath): Farther... *click, click* farther...
9.  Oops!
10. PHOTOGRAPHER:  Perfect, lovie!  I think we've got our cover shot in the bag.

She moved. Here, have another drawing. I might color it one day, I might not. We'll see.

If you do colour it, I might just use it as a background.

Silenter: That hair looks so cool on the red head forms... do you often begin with a dark color and work your way lighter? That's totally cool!I love Emil's and Tuuri's hair so far.

Yeah, I usually work my way up on the value scale. XD And then I just reverse it, putting the shades and stuff. :P
Thanks. ^^

That was amazing! I like how they're outright treating him like a cat, probably gives better results.

Hey guys! New here, but I just couldn't resist the fanart section ovo

But anyways, I usually draw animals rather than people, so I kind of turned the cast into animals for fun
/is totally not weird/

I'm not done yet, but here's a little WIP: (sorry it's freakin huge ;n;)

a lot of the sizes are off though so I'll fix those later.

I've never done a full-fledged work of fan art before, but what better way to express admiration for my favorite comic, right? I'm working on a series of the main cast with cats, and I started with Tuuri. It's still in the early stages (gotta fix that stray eyebrow and super-long arm), but it's so much fun to paint. Once I've finished, Lalli or Emil will be next, since I already have fun sketches for them!
I speak English and a little Mandarin Chinese, and have reading proficiency in Latin and Ancient Greek (Attic, Koine, Ionic and Homeric). I study biochemistry!

Yep, I'm pleased at the turnout.  I've been tracking the views (without posting) too, and this thread has gone from 1,685 to 1,940-odd since I posted the invitation on the main SSSS page earlier today.  Even though more than a dozen of those visits were just me editing the post or checking my handiwork, that's still around 250 visits in one day!

Although I hope the traffic spike isn't causing headaches on the IT front, Mr. Lord High Administrator!   ;)
