Wow, that's amazing!  Did you draw each frame by hand???   

And thanks for the advice about drag-and-dropping the .swf file into a vacant browser window.  I couldn't get it to play on my desktop because apparently the latest version of RealPlayer isn't compatible with Apple OS 10.6.8.  But your method worked perfectly. 

I can't wait till that silhouette becomes Sigrun!  (At which point you'll need to give it teeny-tiny Minna Sundberg feet and a slim waist... and good luck animating those waves of red hair bouncing all over the place!)  Will Tuuri be the girl on the stepladder holding a hat for her to kick?  Or will Sigrun expect somebody pretty, like Emil or Braidy? 

Noo I started drawing everything by hand but after about fifteen frames I got sick of it and used baking paper to trace directly from the screen. The animation is only from these tracings. Perhaps Mikkel should hold the hat.. Hmm..

Second reaction:  Wow, that's amazing!  Reflections and glows must be so hard to do.  These look terrific!  Is that when Lalli first developed his Kitty-Bomb power?

Thank you! Yeah, the lighting was a bit difficult, but I had reference images to help! Yeah, that's Lalli casting his first kitty spell. Not quite a bomb yet, but getting there!

It's an amalgam of some of my favorite places in california.

Kinda a mix of the inland oaks and the sierra mixed conifers.

Amalgams are lots of fun! Our trees are very... wet. And tall, but mostly wet.
