*squeaks and flaps hands happily*

Took three hours.

Where's the eggs?

Eeeep! *hides behind Tuuri* I just, I just! There were hands! Hands are hard, guys! And then my brain was like "but what are they lying on?" and I was like "@#$*-#%^@ you mean I have to draw a bed? ugh", and then it was like "but you need more colors but they have to be warm but also contrast with what you already have" and I just said "@!#^$ off brain". So now it's done. Art is harrrrrrd! *whines*

....Don't mind me...
I'm just
         having a
                         heart-att
ack....

:D :D :D :D :D :D

[hee hee, image name = "cuddlepile"]

[...]

It's so cute!  And yet, more than cute, it, ah.... you know, it's just the kids having a nap like a pile of kittens in a basket, nothing to see here, more or less family-friendly... and yet there's Emil shirtless.  And Tuuri looking closer to her adult age than she sometimes does in the comic, and Lalli in his dream-kitty pose, and, um...

WELL IT IS A CUDDLEPILE, THAT IS THE TECHNICAL TERM I BELIEVE. (By the way, do you know how hard it is to find non-sexualized reference pics of adults cuddling? Especially more than two. It is really frikkin' hard. Most of my inspiration ended up being pictures of kittens snuggling because that's all I could find that fit the mood I wanted. Now you know.)

Yes but see that is like... what SSSS is like in my head, you know? It's cheerful, but not because non-family-friendly things don't exist--it's cheerful because it is, bad things and all. I have a couple thousand words of disjointed unfinished fanfic including teenaged!Tuuri and Lalli talking awkwardly about sex, and Emil and Tuuri trying to find somewhere to go make out where they won't get interrupted--and ending up talking about Lalli instead of making out the moment they do get some time alone, and Lalli developing the habit of just sort of draping himself over Emil and falling asleep the moment Emil stops moving long enough for him to do so, and Lalli shoving Emil's face into the pillow at the end of the day when Emil is trying to insist on staying up and keeping watch himself because it's just the three of them alone and he'll stop trying to protect them the moment he falls over from exhaustion and no sooner, and and and...

...and then I made myself sad that they're not real people and I will therefore never be able to fluff Tuuri's fuzzy hair, and so I drew this instead. The end. \o/

ETA: OH by the way it's on my Tumblr too now so you can giggle at the tags and reblog if you are so inclined.

Haha, it'll be interesting from an epidemiological perspective to track the effect of Hushpiper's masterpiece as it propagates through the Fan-Forum readership, leaving an ever-growing number of the afflicted in its wake.  ::)  (I think OrigamiOwl and I were Patients Zero and One.)
A side-effect being serious motivation to get on and make that tshirt stencil I was going to make last week....although it is currently 4:44pm....do I ice cat cookies, take down the laundry...? Prepare dinner...?
No.
Stencil.

Adorableness

I think I died, realised it was real, and died again. THANK YOUUUUU :D

Now we just need more stories, and everything will be right with the world.

I vote red on pale blue! Fits the predominant red/blue color scheme of the comic :D

I say deep dark purple, like the comic background.  Logo in flamin' red.

Playing The Sims4 and here's a quick mock-up of the crew if they lived in The Sims.
Needs a bit of work and play with Photoshop. Maybe I'll do a real proper picture later on. :)
