I feel like even "Finding a replacement with a heart sedated, I'll forget you" could even be loosely interpreted to Onni taking Lalli and Tuuri to find a new "replacement" home, Onni taking up his position replacing their parents as their new guardian and caretaker, and trying to forget the pains and horror of what happened.

Ok, we need to stop, or I'm going to song-fic this and it will make even deeper wounds. I cannot handle Onni. Onni is just- no, he is too sweet and scared and stuff. Onni has a direct pipe-line to my feels.

Onni sure a very feels worthy character. Poor baby's family got wrecked leaving him to raise his little sister and cousin when he was still pretty much a kid himself and now he's all scared and sad all the time. I don't even think we've seen him smile in-comic once. We even see Trond kind of smile at one point toward the end of the prologue when they were discussing mission plans but nope no smiling Onni ever. If there's one thing I want out of SSSS it's to see that baby smile at least once.

... you go to the Archive page for some reason, note a few links there having a different color, and find that those are the comic's pages that you have not visited for your browser's history timeout (30 days?).

I don't want to encourage wounding, but if you did end up doing a song fic it would have to include a side trip to appreciate the quality of the buildings in the old Finnish capital ;)

Imagine Reynir getting one for himself and one for Onni, saying "Here, I made us friendship bracelets, these owls reminded me of you". Onni is flustered and always wears the bracelet from that day on.

Awww, these little barn owls are too cute to be true.
I love owls and it made me extreamly happy when Onni's luonto was revealed.
And guess who has just voted for an owl in the "bird of the year 2017" voting on the Ornithological Institute's website - thinking it supports Onni in a way?   ::)

Bonus: When your cousin's name starts with L and you accidentally call them 'Lalli' while trying to call them away from the lounging kangaroo they are pestering

The first things you notice are the names Tuuri and Hotakainen (apparently the Swedish translations of these books by Finnish writers are pictured).

Very small, written in grey on the green book Löpgravsvägen by Kari Hotakainen in the middle/left of the image.

Hahaha yes. Sadly, I think neither of the books are translated to English (if you don't speak Finnish or Swedish, that is).
