The aRTD Art Museum
« on: November 05, 2014, 03:20:04 AM »
I surely can't be the only person wanting to do aRTD fanart, right? Especially when my book finally arrives, I'll be raring to do fanarts then.

Please, feel free to post any old artwork, too!<3 Doesn't matter whether sketch, full-blown artwork, mini-comic, GIFs, pixel art, anything goes!

Again, wacky stuff is fine, NSWF stuff is not. Keep the Forum Rules in mind. Artistic talent doesn't matter! It's a sharing place, not a contest board. No one will mind even if you share wobbly stick-figures<3

Please remember to keep your images within 10MB size when inserting them, it helps out those of us with slow connections and old hardware. Also, to help with smooth scrolling and easy viewing, please keep portrait-oriented pictures at 600pixels wide or smaller, and landscape-oriented pictures at 1000pixels wide or smaller. If the small size is killing details, just link to a larger size instead :)

Check out the thread Inserting Images and Other Things for all things concerning image insertion (including a list of art threads on the forum).

So, this got into my head and I had to get it out. I'm much faster with line art of some sort, even if it's only an etch line art type of thing, like here. (Seriously - that was my method here. Messy silhouettes, which I erased details out of, then coloured on a layer below.)

Hmm, after putting the watermark on it, the white background received some gray outlines. The original doesn't have those.

Wohoah!  That's seriously cool.
Ville looks real

The original doesn't have the dreamscape-y fire outlines?

My thoughts exactly.  I love Ville's curly tail!

I was wondering... what's at the back of Hannu's neck?  Is he feeling the (formerly) injured place on his head with his left hand?  Those fingers look faintly creepy -- although that's probably just because I'm thinking of them in the context of the Water Moose-Monster's elegantly sinister black hands.

Thanks! Well, the original was made for use on any background colour. So, Hannu and Ville would be sitting in a sort of white fire without grey outlines. On white backgrounds this would be unnoticable, on any other background it would show up. Buuuut the watermarking program I use seems to have a problem with white that has less than full opacity, so the white turned into grey...

Ah, thank you!~  :-[

That's exactly it. And yes, that's probably why it seems creepy, too - plus I've been affected by the way Minna draws hands, so it bears even more resemblance than it would usually...

That is superb! Hannu's expression is so suitable for him - sombre and slightly sulky.

I love it!

Thank you both very very much! ~ At first I was hesitant at his expression (I've been drawing mainly sulky/neutral-looking people lately, eeeh) but then realised, hey, Hannu pretty much looks like this all the time, it's perfect for him, so who cares? Yet another sulky person picture to add to the collection!~

Surprisingly, this thingie wasn't already here.
should have made it as a vector but meh. that's easy to do if anyone wants to print it on a t-shirt or something

anyway, here goes wow. full size is bigger than I thought... maybe it's because it's 10cm at 300 dots per cm instead of per inch ^^'

maybe it's just too big for your phone's memory (though I told the forum to resize, the original is many pixels - but ~50 kb). I'll upload a smaller version sometime today
