Kiran, I agree on both. No reason why we couldn’t start next week!

And yes, we need to decide the arcs. We can put the chapter numbers on the thread headings in addition to the name, so it’s easier to follow even if someone doesn’t agree fully on how to divide it.

I don’t think we need to have them all defined at the onset?  We’ll easily get started with the Y0 / prologue arc. I kind of agree that the preparations of the Organizers are different from traveling to the base, but in the interest of keeping the number of threads to a manageable level I don’t think 11 pages warrants its own thread. Also some of the organisational stuff is covered when they are in Mora.

Another thing, should the info pages go into their own thread? I think it would be useful, they are easier to find that way.

A note about the Second Adventure: the arcs were not very distinguishable.

We will need about 15 threads, not including the sub-arcs.

We don’t need to iron this out in this sitting, so I will present another suggestion. It’s however clear that we will start with a Prologue thread and the first chunk is going to be pages 1-11, Dalsnes.

I will set and sticky a thread for the schedule, where we’ll put the division and schedule as we go along and agree what goes with what. So we can discuss it here without making the schedule hard to follow.

Another question. When discussion arises on cross-cutting topics such as development of a character, should we start a new thread here, or take it to the “Character development of X” threads on the main SSSS board? Both have merits. Such discussion is general and would be good on the main board. On the other hand the character development threads are quite different from what we are going to have because we have information about that character both backward  and forward. A third option would be opening new character threads on the main SSSS board.

I think it's better to redirect the character discussion to their specific threads in the Main Board.

Into Silence - chapters 3-4 (Sveavägen introduces us to the dangers, chp 4 is getting across the bridge)
Copenhagen - 5-8
Ghosts! - 9-10
Odense 11-12
Sleipnope and the ghosts 13-14
Tuuri - 15
Separated 16-18
Anne - 19
Reunions 20-21

But, this is quite many already.

BTW I’d like to hear further opinions on the arcs / how to divide. Mine was a suggestion, not a decision

I like this list. I also like the other lists. I can't pick! My suggestion would be to decide on the first, say, three arcs/threads, and see whether we like the level of granularity we picked.


Oh, and I think the idea of a thread for info pages, maybe with a top post that provides links to all of them, is an A+ suggestion.

So, we need to decide whether the Y90 part of the prologue should go, with the rest of prologue or to a new thread which will include other preparations too? Views?

Also, do you consider the photo collection (46-47) to be info pages?

I kinda thought the photo's (46-47) to be an info page of a sort.  It show the people starting to live in the new world and how they start to protect themselves.

I like your second divvy of the arcs - I was going to suggest breaking up the arc for Pastor Anne into its own, but behold tis done.
My only tweak would be
Chaps 5-6 as the first wins under the belt
Chaps 7-8 as the first losses and setting some limits

Updated the schedule, June will see us through the journey to Mora where we will board a train.

I feel like lots of people are falling behind the schedule. Should we have a 'catch up week'? Slow things down? (I do want to keep reading, but all those comments take time!)
