Hee hee I'm glad you liked it!  Minna's excellent onomatopoeic devices were the inspiration, especially the small double ones.  I had fun finding good ones in an archive search, and came to realise she has increased their use as the comic went on.  There are barely any in the Prologue.

Apologies are in order, I believe. I am sorry. I just don't feel the same tension, mostly because I'm quite certain Our Heroes are not going to be all dead by chapter 11. Though I am curious what's going to happen next.
