You got it! It's on my "would like the chance to try out of curiosity" list, along with igunaq, which is fermented walrus made by Inuit. An Inuk friend in grad school was going to bring some back from a visit home to Igloolik, but it wasn't ready. Note that I want the chance to try them... no guarantee that I would follow through! Although if someone offered me igunaq, I would probably try a tiny bit at least, I gather from my friend that it is a very sought-after delicacy and not offered to just anyone who drops by, so turning it down is pretty insulting.

Well, I already don´t like regular fish, so the fact of it being rotten probably wouldn´t be beneficial for me liking it. Shouldn´t stop you from trying it when you get the chance though.  :)
There are a lot more fermented ___- foods than I thought there were...

Actually I was thinking in another alien, one that likes forests, uses thermal vision. and to whom the term "nice" applies in a quite ironic way...

On the dream, were you eating inside, an old lady was giving you food and the flames never got to the house because you woke up before?  :)
