Coloring Pages

Alright, so in the past I and some other artists have had requests to post just lineart so other people can print it out and color it, and I thought that maybe a thread for it would be cool! After all, coloring is really fun and sometimes you wanna just skip that whole drawing thing and go straight for the markers, amirite

Anyways, here's a thread for posting both lineart collections for people to color and the colored products people do! (I know I reeeeally want to see what people do with mine and I did just give an album of lineart to Silenter, soooooo ;)) Preferably cleanish lineart so it's easier to color, but (*barbossa voice*) that's more of a guideline, not a rule 8) I'll try to keep an index of the lineart here on the first page, but it depends if this gets much response, ehehehe

This is such a neat idea! :DDDD I used to do a lot of these way back in high school on DA and similar sites, it was really fun to practice my coloring on.

that makes me miss my inks back home even more

What a coincidence, I feel the same way, and it's taking all my self-restraint to not abandon this Lalli and go crazy with a couple of quick digital paints

I don't have separate files for the linearts at the moment, but should anyone want the lineart of any particular piece just say the word. The formats available are PSD and PNG.

If someone wants linearts I can save separate files for those maybe? I don't have a lot (or any drawings, really) because I have cubital tunnel syndrome (drat you elbows) They'll be available in PSD, JPEG, and PNG.

Until I get a printer, any suggestions for easy-to-learn (preferably free) programs I could use to color these digitally?

I've heard overwhelmingly good things about Krita and would be using it myself if I were not on Mac, but there's an art program recommendation thread right here (https://ssssforum.com/index.php?topic=433.0) if you wanted to check it out!

Anyway, when I saw "coloring book pages" I just had to share.

PS I also just downloaded Krita a while back and I am loving it! Thought the last program I had was Gimp and it certainly was a poor substitute for Photoshop. I am much happier with Krita. :)

I'm glad I wasn't alone!!! I just finally got a computer with some power so I was able to download a better software! It's so amazing to me that you can find a software like Krita for FREE online! :)

I quit DA when a virused ad took down our WoW raid team minutes before we took off. Our tank shared a picture she had made, and within five minutes, five of the ten players lost connection as they shut off their routers in a panic. Also, at the request of freddiethefantastic, I've added allll the SSSSona fashion drawings, none of which I ended up coloring! I don't know if this technique transfers to programs other than Photoshop, but this youtube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZN10y4KdMw) shows how to remove backgrounds from traditional art like this. I used to experiment on scanned illustrations from a very old and rare Soviet book I have (like this (http://i.imgur.com/nOEtE7X.jpg)). I have the relatively high-resolution png scans of various illustrations from that book. I don't think the defunct publishers of a defunct country will complain about the misuse of their pictures here, should I post it?
Not sure if anyone will be particularly interested in illustrations of retrofuturist vehicles, but I want to add it all to the collection. Maybe someone else will find it handy some day.

Oooooh, this is SO NICE!!! ~~much better than the linearts ;w; I didn't know how to anatomy at that point ahahaa~~

It was actually from a Gatsby/20s AU, with Emil as Gatsby, so the suit would have been pink but I like this a LOT!!! (especially the lighting on the tie and poofy thing ~~of which i'm forgetting the name ehehe~~!!) Much more dignified and businesslike! I'm in love with how the arm is casting a shadow :D

Handkerchief if it's usable (which is classier) or "pocket square" if it's purely decorative (which is more Gatsby-esque).

I like the coloring and lighting too, not that I have any expertise in this area.

For my birthday, my mom got me one of those coloring books for adults, and a set of very fine-tipped markers. So I've been working on it, and I finally finished one.
