Hah, I didn't expect so much sage encouragement from my musing about being inspired/depressed (inspressed? despired?) by the work here.  Thanks, you're all quite right that comparing yourself to others is often counterproductive because we're all on our own paths, and that if I'm having fun, who cares what it looks like. Of course part of my problem is making time to practice - nowhere near 10,000 hours here!

Nefnef, I love your latest. I think the tiara on Lalli is hilarious. Yes, Reynir is the centre of attention (both of the kids and the viewer) but it makes total sense to me that one of the kids would have stuck a tiara on Lalli - maybe before Reynir appeared - and if he were in a mellow mood, he might just ignore the foolish thing. He looks pretty mellow. It's a lovely little detail.

Nefnef, this is very sweet, especially the tiara (the kids must have worked out that while Lalli doesn’t much like being handled, he will tolerate enough contact to have a tiara put on him because these grabby kids are still Emil’s family) and the little kid hiding under Reynir’s waterfall of hair is a delight - I can imagine how interesting all that hair must smell.

That is what for me makes a great picture; it even gives you an idea how it does feel smell and sound. And this piece by nefnef does so.

It depends on what the hair was washed with  :'D
If it wasn’t washed in a while it does not smell good.
But people’s hair is very different and definitely has sound, smell, feel that is very unique.

Lynx are such beautiful creatures. %50 paws and %50 floofs. Doesn't get much better than that if you ask me!

Soo fluffy & cute! Nice adaptation of the photo. Makes me wonder how this situation came to be. Why is Lynx-Lalli sleepy & exhausted while Emil is calm & happy? (rethorical question) (You intentionally gave the lynx Lalli’s hairstyle, didn’t you?)

Edit: I had the idea of “Emil had a Lalli-Lynx” as filk of “Mary had a little lamb” but I can’t get the rhymes done. “With fur as fluff as ???” And in the lyrics, the question could be answered, how the situation came to be. But I’ll leave this as is, or I’ll never get to bed.
