Now is Reynir's chance to enthrall his siblings for a change!  (Also, give his poor mum a heart attack.)

Laughing very hard at that. Thank you, Wavewright! And the sister clutching the spoon is a great callback.

Honestly, he should learn a heart attack recovery spell, because something tells me that his days of almost giving some to people who care about him are only starting.

I’m so glad you illustrated this, Wave! Reynir’s poor parents! They’re going to have many more heart-attack-inducing stories to hear in the future if we fans have our way.
Butter good.

A young mage comes to the river whenever she ccan, to keep her friend company and help her keep her identity together.

I've missed commenting on some arts, but they have all been wonderful! And beautiful inktober there, wavewright!

Threw a quick doodle together during the stream today for the inktober-prompt "poisonous":
Spoiler: character death • show

It doesn't... look much like Emil, does it? Anyway after a discussion in chat about the difference between poisonous and venomous I decided to draw Emil in a scene from one of Agatha Christie's stories. So there he is, dead after having had some tea made from Taxus Baccata.
Uh... I mean... He obviously fell asleep after working hard at writing a book about their adventures in the silent world. Dunno where he got the laptop from though...

Windy, that's a helluva way to die. Taxus is a nasty poison. No idea why people use it when there are effective poisons that are far less bad tasting, and can't understand how anyone could miss the taste, but people do so. Poor Emil!

That sjødraug is delightfully round, Wave!
And poor Emil. Which Agatha Christie story is that from, Windy?

Here's mine, combining "poisonous" and "friend":

Guess which one is the kade. I couldn't decide, so all answers are correct.

Mebediel, that's awesome!  I considered a similar thing, featuring a kade whistling while happily gathering poisonous mushrooms, but, well you can see what I chose instead.
Damn those mushrooms, they struck anyway, courtesy of Windy.  I like the perspective you chose, though.

Thanks!! Hot dog, that would've been twice the poison in one image.

Medibel: I think it's from "A pocket full of rye", but I may be mixing stuff up because it's been a few years since I read them and my memory is pretty terrible when it comes to remembering exact details from books... ^^'
Also wow, love your inktober-art! The moose looks kinda evil, but on the other hand that's kinda just how moose are :P

Day 2 - "Immerse" with bits of "Tranquil" if you can forget what happened next.

I'm currently pencilling the official prompt for Day 3.

Thanks, Windy!! I'll have to check that story out.
And Wave, Lalli does look like he could be tranquil!

Immersed in a book~

I contribute my InkTober day 3, following the official prompt of "Roasted" - pictured just after they get out of quarantine and are being treated to a beer somewhere. The story is funny enough for Trond to crack a smile, but unfortunately there is still the language barrier for Lalli & Reynir.  (Reynir is such a lightweight.  It was either that or the one who innocently drinks everyone under the table.)
