This was a little exercise in drawing from a description. A friend shared part of her story with me, and the description of one piece of jewelry was so evocative I wanted to draw it!

Oooh, that's so pretty! It looks super 3D and real, I love how you've shaded the facets.
I'll do art-swaps and beta-reads, PM me!

Ana Nymus, that is very beautiful. Made with the right material it will reflect slightly different colors and shades depending on how the light hits it.
I want one to add to my jewelry collection.

Thank you both! I wish I had a pendant like that of my own as well, though I don't know off the top of my head which gemstones would give a rich purple color like that. Iolite, maybe? I'd have to do some research to make it reality!

I really like the artwork, Ana Nymus, great detail attention! And the purple background certainly helps the 3D "pop" effect.

Iolite, lepidolite, simple amethyst would do maybe? I once also saw a purple tourmaline pendant, it looked very lovely (and had a most not-lovely price, well).

Ana Nymus, that looks so cool and realistic! Good job!

I've been playing around with copying art styles of shows and I think I've nailed Voltron's style

Ooh, Voltron! I just binged this entire series. That's a great Lance (right down to the expression)! I hope your friend liked it :)

Thanks! She did love it, too. I handed it to her at school and she freaked out and dropped her backpack!

So, one of my friends has a birthday coming up, and she loves musicals (she's the reason I love musicals now), but she LOVES "Newsies".
so, yep
Spoiler: show

(I seriously need to get a better phone with a good camera)

Also, can I just say. The actor who did the jump for the photo. Is his back ok? Because I don't think backs were meant to be in that position. Ow

That is indeed an impressive amount of back flexibility! o.o It's a lovely drawing!

You got me thinking about Voltron (not a hard thing to do!) and so I had to draw my favorite paladin.
Anyone who knows me would be completely unsurprised to learn I identify with the smol green computer nerd. :P

(My headcanon is that Pidge and Lance (mostly Pidge) managed to rig up a system to play the videogame they got at the mall, and the rest of the paladins sneak over to use it when they're not there)
