This is an updated guide to the other places online you can find SSSS fan communities, particularly since many people seem interested in finding the SSSS discord. These places are not managed by the forum but are their own independent spaces, although there is often overlap between the communities.
ChatroomsDiscordOn discord you can find:
- Multiple channels for discussing a wide range of different topics
- Voice chat and streaming features
- Friendly people (we hope!)
Currently on the discord you have to make an introduction, select a role and wait for one of the mods to come online and let you in before you get access to the full server, so don't be scared if you enter and can only see a few channels! It's to keep out bots, spammers and other unsavoury characters, and thus keep the users safe. Detailed rules can be found on the server itself, but racism and homophobia are not tolerated and nsfw discussions are to be kept in the nsfw channel and out of main areas. Discord can be accessed in-browser and also through apps you can download on both desktop and mobile devices.
IRC ChatroomThe SSSS IRC chatroom is easy to access from pretty much any web browser, and you don't even have to make an account! It has friendly people (I've checked!) and is definitely a nice place to stop by. As a general chat, users are asked to be mindful of underage members in their discussions. FanworksA large number of SSSS fanworks can be found in the Stand Still Stay Silent tag of
Archive of Our Own (Ao3), including many truly impressive works of fanfiction. You can also find fanworks, memes and edits in the Stand Still Stay Silent and SSSS tags on
Tumblr.
