Edit: lol, Tuuri it is. You guys got me Lalli a bit, I was thinking someone hacked in here and changed stuff Lalli funsies but then I realized what day it is. If anyone wants a post decoded, I've also figured out the words being changed, you can pm me. Though I suggest figuring it out yourself, it's fun.
Edit 2: I just went to bed but I realized that pm actually isn't going to work because the words are still changed there, so I came back to tell everyone that you're on your own! c:

I don't think that this is something that needs to, or even can, be fixed on the forum server's end, but let me post this FYI just in case:

For most of the day, my workplace (ISP is a subsidiary of Entega) could not get a connection to the server; still can't. I tried from our hosted servers (at Interxion) just to verify, and everything's A-OK there.

So do you think our Forum server is rejecting your workplace's connection request?  I'm assuming if you can access the Forum from one account but not another that our servers are more-or-less working, just being overly fussy about whom they allow to access the site...?

No, that would be ... weird. It rather seems to be something about the peering between the top-tier Internet providers, or even the local ISP on our side. traceroute is showing odd results, too, way before the probes should get anywhere near the server.

I'm tunneling through our hosted servers for the moment. If things haven't fixed themselves next week, I'll get serious about the analysis.

I'm not sure where this is to be reported, but I don't think email notifications are going out any more. I'm not sure when they stopped, but I haven't received any for a while.

So the forum's been breached by spambots. Is there anything that can be done about this such as increased security to register for the forum such as having todo those capcha things that prove you're not a robot ?

There have been spambots on the forum since right at the start, but today's activity was a whole new level of ridiculous. We're checking out what can be done. There's already the basic "not a robot" tests needed to register the forum of course, but we'll see about levelling them up some...

Vi has updated the registration page to include a few comic related questions. Hopefully this will be enough to keep the spam bots out (or at least keep the numbers more manageable). As always, if you see any spam the best thing to do is to stand still stay silent press the "report to moderator" button, but it looks like everyone's been doing that anyway so good job all of you  :))
