The Steam Winter Sale started today!! I got INSIDE (sequel to LIMBO), Antichamber, and Life is Strange. I spent most of the evening playing Life Is Strange, so now I'm pretty much finished chapter 1. Amazing game! And I got all 5 chapters for only $5 thanks to the sale. I love the art style and the music and the storyline and WOW ;D

You have a great taste,I would have bought those games as well if it wasn't because I had already played them all. And I agree Life is Strange is an amazing game, and it gets better after chapter one (just wait for chapter two where they really start to hit you with the feels).

While it was very much not on sale, I bought, and now finished playing through, The Last Guardian.

That game left me physically distressed. It is good. 10/10. Even if it took a decade to get it made, waiting that long now doesn't feel so bad now.

Steam winter sale > got Rose of Winter (visual novel by several artists including the author of the webcomic, Monster Pulse AND music by TobyFox, as in, Undertale's creator), War for the Overworld (a remake of Dungeon Keeper), LIMBO, Lethis - Path of Progress (a steampunk sim city in 2D!) and Darkest Dungeon.

HAIL GABEN.

Also I've been playing David Cage and he sucks shit through a silly straw. Good lord Heavy Rain is a meme game.

Your pain is but a failure of player design.

Holy shit dude. I can't even with this game. I've never laughed so hard in my whole life. I've been sitting here baffled at how Sony can duck up so badly.

No mans sky and David Cage. WHAT NEXT???

Has anyone here happened to have played House of the Dying Sun, or Verdun?
I'm questioning which of these two I should get through the steam sale.

I had not, but looking it up, it looks like it is right up my alley.

It looks like Journey, but underwater.

It reminds me, in a way, of 20 000 leagues under the sea, minus the submarine and vengeful captain.

I've never played Journey, myself, but from what I've heard they are rather alike. The soundtracks are both done by the same person, I think - Austin Wintory. The music and artwork and story line and everything is just phenomenol! :D

I just finished Valiant Hearts: The Great War. I am emotionally devastated. I knew what was coming (thanks, friends, for spoiling it for me) but still just totally taken aback.

That's probably the most heartbreaking game I've ever played. I love it, but ouch. I've replayed parts of it several times, but there are some sections that I just can't get through without bawling my eyes out, heh.

Great game but that ending was quite something.

Yeah, there are very few games that will wreck you quite that badly. And here people thought a player-character death in the first Call of Duty: Modern Warfare game was "intense".

Don't ask me about games that are more saddening, because I can list some, and you'll regret knowing about them. :P
