Last time I tried to paint a real object in Photoshop was 3 years ago. Now, I can slack off for 3 more years, I guess. ;D
Spoiler: show

Wow that is awesome! The perspective works great (and is always so darn difficult to get right). :)

For anyone who was interested in that last concept art I posted, I finished the rough character design for my two mains:

just noticed the guy looks like a 12 year old when he's supposed to be like 20 oooops

No, no, and 20 is a good age for characters.

And here's something from August 2014. I remember nearly crying when I drew it. That might be be because I was trying to copy the image exactly. Also, Wizard 101 players unite!

A pencil sketch. boom.

And  a coloured version, with markers and a little crayon because I'm gonna conquer all art mediums just watch me.

RedCloud and KicknRun, I wish you both luck in conquering new mediums! :0 (Also, I could scrounge up some of my earliest digital art and my own test drawing and PM it to you if you'd like, but warning it's REALLY UGLY)

Here's the SSSS-inspired main crew of the short story I am currently working on:
From left to right: Laura, the information salvager; her step-brother Niels in charge of communication via mutated rock doves; Laura the mechanic,; Nadine the team leader/weapons expert; and Akil the second-in-command/scout/map reader.

No hands yet, because hands are evil- and so is Nadine's nonexistent shotgun. >:(

A WIP which demonstrates that I have totally forgotten how to do digital art. I feel like that there's something missing but I can't figure it out >.<.
Constructive critiques are welcomed!

a lantern's the missing thing :P

looks pretty good to me :D . Maybe the only think I can find that's off is a lack of depth, the background seems a bit mushed too close to the foreground and draws attention from the character. It's not as strong in the wider shot tho, where there's space for the eye to breathe (yes, eyes do that). But yes, if I have anything to suggest, it'd be to put more emphasis where you want the viewer to look, possibly by toning down the forest a little, or lighting the character a little more (the leaves seem to get more light than her?). Not sure my propsed solution is right, tho: I couldn't do something half as good-looking if my life depended on it ;)
