The title is prhaide (but the pun does not survive translation).

I drew these a couple of months ago (before work got really crazy) in response to a joke JoB made about the community safe zone not having a place to quarantine an entire pod of sky whales. Since this is my 100th post (finally), here are those unfinished drawings, below the cut for tidiness.

I think until some sort of water feature is installed or made accessible, there will be a lot of lumpy water mammals just lying around resting their fins  :P

I believe these beautiful whales can be fairly comfortable here: https://ssssforum.com/index.php?topic=1139.0

(Yeah, fresh water lakes, but you can’t have everything)

I like this little theme of ocean creatures-- the shark looks great, moredhel, the watercolors blended really nicely! And SkyWhalePod heee that's a very cool image. Like Jitter said, they will hopefully fit in just fine by the Saaima floating village  :)

Those are excellent, SkyWhalePod! The floating ones are great, particularly the shadow! And now I'm imagining people riding them... Also the "reality" image is very touching.

(I must find time to come back to the Saimaa Floating village... Is such an interesting setting. And if the whales can float (!) so they can live on fresh water.)

D'aaaawwwww. ;D

Minor nitpick, the task in question was not just to house them (as far as someone who can float in the plenty of plane-free air above Y90 you needs "housing" in the first place) but to have them quarantined, with all the perimeter-proofing required for a controlled environment ...

And now I'm imagining people riding them...
[shudders as he remembers that attaching things (like GPS tracers) to RL whales still usually requires harpoons, thanks to water vs. air drag and according evolutionary body adaptations]

"Hello? 911? There's a bunch of... flying whales! They are over the city! Send someone!"
"Sorry sir, are you in danger? And... did you just say "flying whales"!?"
"Yes! Yes! I'm fine, no danger... I suppose. They... That shadow! It's right over us!"
"Please keep calm and wait a moment, sir, while I transfer your call to our Substance Abuse Help Center. They will know what to do."
