Ooh, what kind of flower is that, moredhel? Also, did you use watercolor for this one? Just wondering... Looks good! Nice colors, not too often they can bee seen during winter season! 

Woah yeah, these are thinner than almost all of the brushes I posess. I have maybe one that gets close.

I agree with you with Watercolors being the best for thin lines, I´m just very untalented with any sort of paint, so I can try to do that as long as I want to... ^^"

You are not untalented, Mirasol! You are really good with combining colors (which is a very important thing to learn how to paint) and if you lack some skill in mastering painting itself, all you need is just someone to teach you!

It is watercolor. I did just improvise but my wife says it is a lotus, so it is a lotus now.

I spent time this holiday weekend (Auckland Anniversary weekend, that is), going to festivals and events, and doing a few sketches along the way.  First two from the Auckland Folk Festival, last one from an Urban Sketchers event at a craft fair.



This one is a composite, as the pencil sketch was done to capture various passers-by at a glance without bothering them.  Some people have somebody else's shoes, and the woman on the bottom right has somebody else's husband (I lost sight of them before I could get a mental photo of her actual husband)!

Wave, I like these a lot! The composition in the third one is great, placing and interactions of the people are very natural despite it being a collection. And just getting to be around people - oh those were the times

Your sketches are awesome, Wave! I´m amazed how many details you got by just looking at people for a really short time!
(And not going to lie... I´m neither much of a people-person or a going-out-to-events-person, but these suddenly made me miss concerts and festivals very very much.)
