Urban Sketchers monthly event cancelled due to lockdown?  No problem, just draw the view from my kitchen window instead...


(My windows aren't that dirty, just how the photo came out)

Here's an illustration I just finished... thought I would post it in here to get you guy's feedback. ^^

As you can probably tell, Minna's last youtube video inspired me a lot, and I felt the urge to paint clouds. So I did, and I added a few mountains to bring in more epicness to the piece, and that's pretty much it. ^^
The character in the foreground is Logi the Icelandic Dreki, my main OC (you could call him my fursona ^^"). He's from an original species I created, and I love him. x3



By the way, you may have noticed that I love painting epic natural landscapes, and I have another one in stock for the chapter break filler... but shhhh, no spoilers! ;)

Thank you for the compliment, I'm glad you like it! ^^

Yep, Dreki comes from the icelandic word for "dragon" (though it's not *technically* a dragon), and my character's name, Logi, means "flame" in icelandic (it's also a fairly common name in Iceland)

Well I *do* have a few drawings of him on my DA , and a whole bunch of other sketches on my Instagram ...  O:-)

btw I can't seem to work out how to insert proper hyperlinks, have I been missing something? Sorry I don't know how forums work... can someone help me?  :-[

Oooh, that background is so nice!!! The beautiful sky, the mist-swept mountains. Also the composition is really nice - how Logi's prescence in the foreground adds interest without obscuring the scene.

Yep, Logi's wings are kinda translucent. Since his wings are half owl/half bat, the bat part of the wings is made of thick skin that can appear translucent when backlit by the sun, like in this pic. ^^
