Made this simple little beat thing out of a vibraphone sample!

Ooh, very pretty!  It would make good background music at a cocktail party.

I adore this! You did such a lovely job and I wish I could listen to it on a longer loop.

I get a lot of vibes (haha) from this that remind me of Nujabes' work (particularly in the soundtrack for Samurai Champloo). If you're not already familiar with him, I really recommend that you listen to his stuff! It seems like you'd really like it. :)

Aww thanks guys! I absolutely love Nujabes' work! (He's like one of my top inspirations in making beats! His opening theme for Samurai Champloo with Shing02 is one of my favorites from him)

Spoiler: show

(under spoiler because I should *probably* attach a self-harm tw for this one, although its pretty abstract)

I've been listening to the new Arcade Fire album a lot, and felt inspired to draw something from some of the lyrics on Everything Now.  Didn't quite come out how I wanted it to, the stars were supposed to be more dramatic and I got impatient and just grabbed a red sharpie rather than getting another good art pen like I had been planning on.  May take a shot at more stuff from the album later.

Daiseerose, cool oc! Is the art or design Burton-inspired at all? Her expression especially makes me think of that style.

October Sky, that's a nice bit of abstract art, with some poetic (if dark) lyrics for inspiration.

I've managed to do a bit of art this summer, so here's what I've got:

Spoiler: show

A drawing of two of my OCs, with a full background! I very rarely attempt this.

This is the Blasted Wraith. She was born of chat shenanigans, and is now one of my alter egos.

And the Big Art, a landscape that I painted with acrylics. There are a few things I might go back and fix eventually, but I'm happy with it for now.

:A2chap01: :A2chap02: :A2chap03: :A2chap04:

Mark my words, it's not quite what you thought.

Yeeeees, I totally agree!

*has a lot of feelings about the Samurai Champloo soundtrack and cannot be trusted to be chill about it*

I also really love Shiki No Uta (the closing theme) and have recently found this awesome cover of it:

And (so that this post won't be entirely off-topic), here's a bit of art from me for this summer:

Spoiler: sorry for the giant pictures • show

This is Killian, from the D&D/storytelling podcast The Adventure Zone. I love her a lot a lot!

And here's my OC, Sulai. She's a shapeshifter who is afraid of responsibility.

This is Winona! She is Sulai's best bud and really, tragically good at getting into trouble.

Looks good, especially the hair and the shading on the face! :)

Keeper, I really like that big landscape! I don't know why but it just really reminds me of Dune.

ginger, good stuff, I especially like the first one of your shapeshifter oc, her hair is so flowy and cool

Shoutout to the discord chat for getting me hooked on Neon Genesis Evangelion.  Yes I should have used a straightedge on the horn. (on a more positive note I really like how the shading came out. Gives it a lot of depth

This was a little exercise in drawing from a description. A friend shared part of her story with me, and the description of one piece of jewelry was so evocative I wanted to draw it!
